We visited Calgary, Banff National Park and Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada, April 2001. The views were breathtaking and the air was sooooo fresh. Foot and Mouth disease was rampant in the UK at the time and we were required to wipe our shoes in disinfected mats on arrival at Calgary International Airport. Quiet reflection by frozen Lake Louise and enjoying the fresh air!
View from our hotel room. I'm in agony here as my face is quite burned following a walk on frozen Lake Louise where the sun reflected off the snow onto my lily white visage!
Route 1: Native Americans called this Weeping Wall. It's frozen!
Standing in front of a Snocoach, Columbia Icefield, on the largest accummulation of ice and snow south of the Artic Circle.
One of the many, many glaciers by Columbia Icefield
Looking up at the top of the 6km Athabasca Glacier that flows out of the massive Columbia Icefield!
Look at me standing on ice 400 years old and over 300 metres (1000 ft) thick! Wow!
Too beautiful for words!
View from 190.8 metre high Calgary Tower, Calgary city, Alberta, Canada, 1,228.2 metres above sea level. The odd shaped roof building is the football stadium.
