The Indianapolis Formula 1 Grand Prix took place on September 30th, 2001. It was the first international event following September 11th. Security was very tight and everyone had their belongings checked. It turned out to be a great day and Mikka Hakkinnen won his last Grand Prix before retiring from motor racing.
