Cliff top living.
Old, pretty and oozing history.
Old, not pretty and oozing!!!
See sailing boats in the distance on the Gulf of La Spezia. What a view.
Apparently, this village had it's share of Pirates. Village myth is that a friendly octopus reached up to the church tower to ring the bell and warn sleeping villagers that they were to be invaded in the middle of the night!
Neighbours just have to get on I guess!
Elda and Franco spoiled us in Ameglia.
Elda Franco Imelda sandwich! Va bene.
Get your paints and brushes out guys!

What must it be like to live here?!
Two old blokes and a dog shooting the breeze at Portovenere.
Portovenere Fort. Beyond this window, Byron, the poet, liked to swim apparently. Nice.
Clear, azure blue water
